Lunch & Learn Lecture Series
 Date: Tuesday, May 20
 Venue: Polk County History Center, Bartow
 - The museum invites guests to bring lunch and listen to a guest speaker on the third Tuesday monthly.
 - May’s speaker is: Lucy Nichols who is a member of the 23rd Infantry.
Spring Jazz Concert
 Date: Thursday, May 22
 Venue: Harrison School for the Arts, Lakeland
 - Harrison School for the Arts will host the “Spring Jazz Orchestra  Concert” with special guest Bill Prince in the Harrison Main Theater.
Taste of Summer Craft Beer Fest
 Date: Thursday, May 22
 Venue: Joker Marchant Stadium, Lakeland
 - The Taste of Summer Craft Beer Fest will feature beer tasting and live  music at the Flying Tigers take on the Charlotte Stone Crabs at Joker  Marchant Stadium.
 - Proceeds from advance ticket sales will benefit the Early Learning Coalition of Polk County.
Florida State Square and Round Dance Convention
 Date: Friday, May 23 – Sunday, May 25
 Venue: The Lakeland Center
 - Florida Federation of Square Dancers presents the 60th Annual  Florida Square & Round Dance Convention, a square-dancing convention  that is expected to bring more than 600 attendees to Polk County.
May Day Festival of Central Florida
 Date: Friday, May 23 – Sunday, May 25
 Venue: Winter Haven
 - Come out to the May Day Festival of Central Florida presented  by the Historic Pughsville Association of Winter Haven to meet the  Buffalo Soldier’ 9th and 10th Cavalry Unit and enjoy a free fish fry,  celebration and more.
Celebrate Summer
 Date: Saturday, May 24
 Venue: Polk Outpost 27, Davenport
 - Visitors and residents are invited to come and explore all that  Central Florida has to offer in family fun and activities for the  upcoming summer at this free, family-friendly event. 
Lake Wales Car Show
 Date: Saturday, May 24
 Venue: Downtown Lake Wales
 - Admire the antique, custom and classic cars of yesteryear while  enjoying music, enchanting shops, and the unique restaurants of  charming downtown Lake Wales
Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Memorial Day Show
 Date: Monday, May 26
 Venue: Lake Silver, Winter Haven
 - This will be a patriotic-themed show with a color guard and plenty of patriotic music.
 - A pre-show performance, featuring young skiers from 2 to 15 years-old will begin before the main show.
